"LIGHTNESS IS NOT SUPERFICIALITY"
WOMEN'S FW25 COLLECTION - WOMEN FALL WINTER 2025

MSGM presents the Women's FW25 collection, which revolves around the brand’s iconic quote, “lightness is not superficiality.” This principle guides the entire creative process, where lightness becomes a conscious construction that goes beyond physical perception, exploring the boundaries between form, substance, and emotion. The collection navigates the tension between visibility and invisibility, material and immaterial, playing with what is seen and what is hidden.

Inspired by the work of Alberonero, who uses tulle to explore these boundaries, the collection adopts the technique of layering light and matter, creating three-dimensional effects. His large- scale artworks, characterized by the interplay of light and material, evoke suspended atmospheres between reality and dream.

The second collaboration of the season is with Caterina Frongia, a textile artist who reinterprets the tradition of Italian tapestry. Frongia’s works stand out for their use of textured materials, natural yarns, and earthy colors, with a strong component of lettering woven into the fabric, transforming words into a visual narrative. The fusion of traditional techniques with a contemporary language perfectly aligns with MSGM’s philosophy, translating her poetry into jacquard knitwear pieces and graphic patterns on jerseys and t-shirts.

Tulle, the undisputed protagonist, acts as the common thread, exploring contrasts within a collection that draws inspiration from the Gorpcore world. Through fabric layering, it becomes the heart of the collection, showcased in chromatic gradations ranging from red to acid yellow to pink, complemented by materials such as eco-fur, fleece, scuba, and leather. The quotes are not mere decorations but rather a true vehicle of communication, a thought made visible and tangible.

The collection will be presented in a unique location, an unprecedented space set to become a new cultural hub and art gallery, reaffirming MSGM’s commitment to creating connections between fashion, art, and contemporary experimentation.
